In a world plagued with issues and privilege, it has become popular to travel and give back along the way.  Responsible travel, philanthropic travel there are various names for it. We call it Hearten Africa.

This is while you are on safari, you go further to help children in need, local communities, protection of wilderness and wildlife. It is about conscious travel creating meaningful experiences and making a difference. We often incorporate cultural interactions where you have the opportunity to meet locals, learn of their lifestyle and hardships. In this spectrum of giving back to the community, we cooperate with a stronge local NGO, called X-SUBA SPORT FOR DEVELOMENT UGANDA and the organisation uses play and life lessons to address different challenges affecting childen and youth. The NGO tries to address issue related to children rights, sexual related issues among youth, creative thinking among children and youth, and also engages in sponsorship and mentorship program among children thus promoting talent development. Normally after the safari trek interested guests can hope to visit the oganisation say hi to the children or play sports and games, visit a school and the community all doors are open.  

 To be impactful, you don’t have to donate lots of cash or spend months at a time volunteering, although both of those are valid options if you are interested as some guest we have recieved have opted to stay volunteering until there visa expires.
